THE BEGINNING OF THE SEMPER FIDELIS 204 DETACHMENT

One night in 1967 five men met at the Cicos Diner which is now the Colonial Diner and discussed the idea of forming a Marine Corps. League Detachment. George Krauss, Ed Boyle, Sal Sabalcio, Art Strofman, and Joe Cico decided it was a good thing and proceeded to muster up the required number of members to apply for a charter. They received their charter dated the 12th of December 1967. George Krauss was elected the first Commandant of the Semper Fidelis Detachment.
